In Continuing Care and Family File, you can clear a continuing care type from a patient's record to no longer track that patient's continuing care for that type.
Notes:
Accessing a patient's continuing care requires the "Continuing Care, Edit Patients" security right.
Clearing a patient's continuing care requires the "Continuing Care, Clear Patients" security right.
To clear a continuing care type from a patient
Do one of the following:
With a patient selected in Family File, double-click the Cont. Care block.
With a patient selected in Continuing Care, on the Edit menu, click Selected Patient's Continuing Care.
If applicable, do one of the following:
If the Password - Continuing Care, Edit Patients dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Continuing Care, Edit Patients" task. Do one of the following:
If your user account has been granted the "Continuing Care, Edit Patients" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.
If your user account has not been granted the "Continuing Care, Edit Patients" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can access a patient's continuing care this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Continuing Care, Edit Patients" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can access a patient's continuing care this one time, do the following:
On the message, click Yes.
In the Password - Continuing Care, Edit Patients dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
The Patient Continuing Care dialog box appears.
Note: For each continuing care type that has been set for the patient, the Date column contains a date.
Select the continuing care type that you want to clear.
Click Clear.
Note: This button is available only if the selected continuing care type is assigned to the patient.
If applicable, do one of the following:
If the Password - Continuing Care, Clear Patients dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Continuing Care, Clear Patients" task. Do one of the following:
